About
Our Salt Lake City, Utah facility is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of incoming goods within our logistics operations. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and managing the staging of received items. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While not as physically demanding as some roles, this position does involve lifting and moving of received goods. You will work closely with inventory control and shipping departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials. Responsibilities include accurately entering receiving data into our system, reporting discrepancies, and maintaining a clean and organized receiving area. We seek organized, dependable individuals who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record receiving information into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Stage received goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks safely as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE.
- Collaborate with inventory and shipping teams to resolve issues.
- Support overall logistics processes by ensuring accurate receiving data.
- Must be able to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
