Our facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading delivery vehicles, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, verifying items against purchase orders and packing slips, and stocking received merchandise in its designated location. This position is critical for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into our warehouse, directly supporting our logistics operations. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all company procedures are essential. You will work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate receiving processes. We value attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety protocols and wear required PPE .
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal staff.
- Support overall Logistics functions of the warehouse.
- Occasional Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs may be required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic data entry.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing and lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of basic Logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety .
