Job Summary:
Our facility in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your work directly impacts the efficiency of our logistics operations and customer fulfillment. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records are essential. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure inventory integrity and identify areas for improvement. Maintaining a safe and organized environment is paramount. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment as needed.
  • Track the movement of inventory within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Identify and report damaged or obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments.
  • Ensure adherence to all company Safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear appropriate PPE when working in the warehouse.
  • Support Logistics operations by ensuring product availability.
  • This role may involve some moderate Lifting .
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to conduct audits and interpret data.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
