Are you organized and detail-oriented? We are looking for a Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our incoming goods process, ensuring that all shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. You will be responsible for verifying quantities against purchase orders, checking for damages, and properly logging all incoming inventory into our system. This position is vital to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting our overall logistics operations. The ability to work efficiently, maintain a tidy receiving area, and follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a structured warehouse environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and inspect for damages.
- Accurately enter received goods into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received products for distribution to appropriate warehouse areas.
- Communicate discrepancies or damages to supervisors and vendors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions of the warehouse.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
