About
We have an immediate opening for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk at our Madison, Wisconsin facility. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately logging inventory, verifying counts against orders, and inspecting for any damages. Your precision ensures the integrity of our stock and supports our overall logistics operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and items against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect all goods for damage and note any discrepancies.
- Enter receiving information into the inventory management system.
- Label and stage inventory for put-away by other team members.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring Safety standards are met.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential.
- Assist with inventory cycle counting and reconciliation as needed.
- Support broader logistics functions within the warehouse.
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a receiving or inventory role is highly desirable. Proficient in data entry and basic computer applications. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Capable of performing tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 35 lbs). Strong organizational skills. Good communication abilities. A solid understanding of warehouse Safety practices. Must be reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team. Awareness of PPE. Vital for our logistics and inventory control.
