This position is fundamental to managing the accuracy and efficiency of our incoming goods. You will be responsible for meticulously inspecting, documenting, and processing all inbound shipments, ensuring they align with purchase orders and company standards. The ideal candidate is organized, has excellent communication skills, and possesses a strong commitment to accuracy and safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming inventory.
- Verify shipment quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately document any damages or discrepancies encountered.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly.
- Organize and stage incoming goods for appropriate put-away.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines, including proper lifting procedures and the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with WMS and data entry.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
