We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to all safety protocols. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against received goods, inspecting items for damage, and properly documenting all received inventory. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to workplace safety. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and follow all company policies. Regular physical activity, including moderate lifting, will be part of your daily duties. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times to ensure your safety and the safety of your colleagues. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify quantities and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect products for any damages and report discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for further processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
