Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. This involves performing regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal stock levels. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to streamline inventory processes and minimize losses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy. Your ability to interpret data, generate reports, and suggest improvements will be vital for success in this position. You will also be involved in receiving and put-away processes, ensuring all items are correctly tagged and stored. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail are essential. We are committed to fostering a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role requires some moderate Lifting, typically up to 30 pounds. Experience with inventory management software is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile with data records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on aging or slow-moving inventory.
  • Assist with receiving, put-away, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff regarding inventory status.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in WMS or inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
