About
Our dynamic logistics operation in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk. This position is central to our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently. You will be responsible for managing receiving logs, verifying purchase orders against deliveries, and directing incoming shipments to the appropriate departments. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a strong commitment to Safety and accuracy. This role requires effective communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a busy warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label and tag inventory appropriately.
- Direct received goods to the correct storage locations.
- Maintain organized receiving areas.
- Adhere to all company Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Proper use and maintenance of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or inventory role preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and WMS software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Understanding of Logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
