About
Our Cincinnati, Ohio location is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage the intake of all goods into our warehouse. This role is critical for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that all incoming materials are processed efficiently and correctly. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering receiving data into our system. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to established protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount. This position is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring that products are ready for distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders, checking for discrepancies.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or defects.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received items as required.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verification.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
