About
We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse in Washington, D.C. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all goods entering our facility. Your attention to detail is crucial in verifying quantities, checking for damages, and ensuring that all received items are correctly recorded in our inventory system. This position supports the broader Logistics operations by ensuring that our stock levels are accurate and that products are available when needed. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment and expect all employees to adhere to established Safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label items appropriately for storage.
- Report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages to management immediately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role is preferred.
- Strong data entry skills and familiarity with inventory software.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to perform Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following instructions.
- Understanding of basic Logistics functions.
- Willingness to wear mandated PPE.
