Part Time Assistant Director of Nursing / LPN

About
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RN or LPNto join our assisted living team. This position is being offered part time with flexible hours. This role is to help with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by delivering quality nursing care, promoting independence, and maintaining a supportive environment. This position involves close collaboration with the Director of Nursing, residents, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
*Duties*
* Assume responsibility for planning, organizing, motivating, coordinating, and controlling personnel, equipment, and supplies in the nursing department.
* Perform and document comprehensive assessments of residents.
* Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that comply with state and federal regulations.
* Follow staffing guidelines and make nursing assignments according to qualifications of staff and characteristics of the resident population.
* Complete progress notes as assigned
* Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
* Collaborate with management team to enhance overall patient care and outcomes.
* Participate in resident care conferences as assigned.
* Assist in the management of shift schedules as needed.
* Monitor and report, when necessary, resident weight changes, skin conditions, abnormal lab and x-ray results, medication errors, medications not available, and other pertinent information affecting the well-being of residents to physicians, responsible parties, and the Director of Nursing.
* Assist with ordering of medications, count, and record controlled substances as needed. Notify the Director of Nursing to any discrepancies immediately, according to facility policy.
* Rotation of On Call Responsibilities with pay for On Call time.
* Accept and perform additional duties as assigned by Director of Nursing.
*Qualifications*
* Graduate of an accredited LPN program. Licensure/Certification in the state of Iowa required.
* Experience in nurse management or leadership roles within a healthcare setting is a plus.
* Understanding of assisted living regulations.
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocating for patients’ needs.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude toward working with the elderly.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
