About
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and preventing dental diseases. You will work closely with dentists to provide quality dental care to patients.
*Duties*
- Conduct dental cleanings and assist with procedures such as fluoride treatments, laser procedures, scaling, and sealant application
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and proper care techniques
- Perform dental charting and take X-rays as needed
- Administer local anesthetics under the direction of a dentist
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment for each patient
- Assist in patient assessment and treatment planning
*Experience*
- Experience working in a dental clinic setting
- Proficiency with dental software such as OpenDental
- Knowledge of medical imaging, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA regulations
- Strong patient assessment skills
