A leading logistics company in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our dedicated team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within our warehouse. Operating various types of forklifts, you will ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks, accurate put-away of inventory, and the overall smooth flow of goods. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all operators to adhere to rigorous safety standards and use required PPE at all times. This position requires a high level of responsibility and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Follow all logistics and operational guidelines to ensure efficiency.
- Perform regular lifting and moving of items, typically up to 50 lbs, when not operating a forklift.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle lifting as required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of inventory control principles.
- Commitment to promoting a safe workplace culture.
