We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies. Your work will directly impact our logistics efficiency and ensure that our clients receive their orders accurately and on time. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems and best practices. You will be instrumental in optimizing stock levels, minimizing shrinkage, and improving overall warehouse operations. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. While not as physically demanding as some warehouse roles, there may be occasional lifting required. Adherence to safety standards, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, is important. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory.
- Report on inventory accuracy and related metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory integrity.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use PPE as required.
