We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our San Antonio, Texas facility. This position is crucial for ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and staging items for put-away. Your role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and the accuracy of our inventory, supporting our overall logistics efforts. Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all company policies, including the use of PPE and safe lifting practices, is a top priority. This is an excellent opportunity for someone detail-oriented who thrives in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify quantities and product information against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately record received items into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage received products for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Ensure correct usage of all required PPE .
- Support the efficient flow of goods within our Logistics network.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or administrative roles is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using computers and WMS software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 35 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols and the importance of PPE .
- Understanding of Logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
