We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in San Francisco, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise in operating specialized equipment will ensure the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and accurate placement of goods.
- Accurately pick and stock inventory in designated locations.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure safety and functionality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including speed limits and proper maneuvering techniques within the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn correctly at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to the overall logistics efficiency.
- Valid certification or proven experience operating a reach truck is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 pounds, when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety in logistics.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts if required.
