Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Your attention to detail is critical to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory items appropriately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area, ensuring compliance with all Safety standards.
- Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Handle tasks that may involve some Lifting of incoming goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and computer systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and labels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
