In this role, you will be essential for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our expansive warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include operating a reach truck to put away and retrieve inventory at various heights, ensuring accurate stock placement and accessibility. Safety is paramount; you must rigorously follow all safety procedures and wear all mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires precision, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage loads safely, often involving significant Lifting into high racks. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move and stack inventory.
- Put away and retrieve products from high-level racking systems.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on the reach truck.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by ensuring proper placement and scanning.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Wear required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and eye protection.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when not operating the reach truck.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of the warehouse logistics.
- Report any operational issues or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifictaions:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid certification for reach truck operation.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
