This position requires the ability to manage complex tasks, troubleshoot issues, and motivate a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse supervision and a deep understanding of logistics best practices. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient workflow for receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures and experience enforcing PPE policies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including occasional lifting.
