About
We are expanding our team in Washington, D.C., and are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist. This role is fundamental to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve stock accuracy and reduce shrinkage. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management best practices within a logistics setting. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, shortages, and overages.
- Develop and implement procedures to enhance inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory valuation.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Support the efficient flow of goods through accurate inventory data.
- Assist in the training of new personnel on inventory control procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, stocktaking, or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of Logistics operations and supply chain principles.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
