About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods within our extensive logistics network. A strong commitment to safety, precision, and productivity is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory at various heights.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Conduct daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Organize warehouse space for optimal storage and accessibility.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, and shipping.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Ensure efficient movement of materials to support overall logistics operations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational targets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with valid certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and material handling procedures.
- Familiarity with WMS and scanning equipment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
