Job Overview
At NCCI, were looking for a
Sr Systems Administrator
to join our Platform Services team. This role will manage and optimize our Linux infrastructure and Kubernetes deployments by leveraging automation tools, developing, and using custom scripts, and implementing DevOps best practices. Additionally, you will design and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and create automated workflows. This position will work in a flexible-hybrid environment. The selected candidate must be local within a commutable distance to our Boca Raton, FL headquarters. NOTE: NCCI will not sponsor applicants for work visas. What You Will Do
Manage and maintain Linux servers and infrastructure Deploy, configure, and manage Tanzu Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration Develop custom scripts and automation tools for system administration and maintenance Utilize Red Hat Satellite for system management, patching, and provisioning Implement DevOps best practices to streamline development and deployment processes Create and optimize automation solutions using Terraform and Ansible Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux, Kubernetes, Red Hat Satellite Implement security best practices to safeguard data and systems Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in Linux, Kubernetes, DevOps, DR, Automation, and Ansible
What It Takes
Bachelor's Degree, or additional related work experience In lieu of degree, additional related work experience required
8+ years of Systems Administration experience in a medium to large systems environment, including:
5+ years experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) 3+ years experience with programming languages (Python, Ansible, YAML) 3+ years experience in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Ability to work in a 24x7 Server Support environment as required Expert knowledge in:
Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS installation, administration, and debugging Designing and developing Infrastructure as Code modules using Terraform and Ansible DevOps and Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Kafka)
Strong knowledge in:
Hybrid cloud technologies Security requirements for Linux Operating systems Systems documentation preparation and communication Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and arrive at viable solutions Ability to consistently identify process and methodology improvements Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
Preferred Skills And Experiences
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator Cloud and DevOps certifications
