Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations in a fast-paced, casual dining environment, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages teamwork, efficiency, and outstanding customer service. Your leadership will drive staff performance, uphold food safety standards, and manage all aspects of front-of-house management to create a memorable dining experience for every guest.
Duties
- Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, including training, development, and performance management to ensure high standards of service.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including shift management, customer service, and ensuring smooth flow of service during busy hours.
- Manage food preparation and food handling procedures to maintain quality and safety standards in line with health regulations.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and billing.
- Control inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, monitor stock rotation, and coordinate with kitchen management for food production needs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food presentation practices.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business.
- Assist in hiring processes through interviewing candidates and participating in staff training programs focused on hospitality management and food service excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising experience in the food industry or hospitality management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices.
- Ability to train staff on food handling procedures, food safety regulations, and operational standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to oversee shift management and coordinate between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
