Role: Health Care Aide
Location: Fort Macleod, Alberta
Reports to: Care Manager
At Pioneer Lodge we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to seniors in Fort Macleod and the surrounding areas. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents, providing compassionate assistance, and contributing to a positive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Personalized Care: Provide hands-on assistance to residents with their activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort and maintaining their dignity.
Compassionate Support: Build meaningful connections with residents, offering emotional support and companionship.
Health Monitoring: Assist with the monitoring of residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel at Pioneer Lodge.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with fellow healthcare team members to ensure holistic care plans are executed effectively.
Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
Documentation: Accurately record residents' care activities and observations, contributing to their individualized care plans.
Resident Advocacy: Be an advocate for residents' needs and preferences, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Empower Independence: Encourage and support residents in maintaining their independence to the fullest extent possible.
Qualifications:
· Health Care Aide Certification in Alberta is required.
· Current registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory required.
· Compassionate Nature: Possess a genuine empathy and compassion for the well-being of seniors.
· Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and fellow team members.
· Team Player: Collaborate effectively with a diverse healthcare team, promoting a positive and cohesive environment.
· Attention to Detail: Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and care delivery.
· Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
· Safety Focus: Prioritize residents' safety and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
