In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all products are accurately received, inspected, and documented. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming inventory from various carriers.
- Verify quantities and quality of goods against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming shipments for any damages or discrepancies and report them promptly.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label inventory for proper storage and identification.
- Organize and stage received goods for distribution or put-away.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as inventory control and shipping, to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations and WMS is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
