About
Valley Village offers affordable senior housing and supportive services in a warm, caring environment. We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our assisted living team. In this key role, you’ll assist the Director of Nursing in ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centered care while supporting and guiding our caregiving staff.
*What You’ll Do*
* Conduct and assist with resident health assessments and ongoing monitoring
* Provide first aid and coordinate emergency medical services when needed
* Support and train staff in medication assistance and health-related tasks
* Help oversee caregiver schedules to ensure safe staffing levels
* Monitor residents for health changes and share updates with the care team
* Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, and families
* Participate in care plan development and quality assurance reviews
*What We’re Looking For*
* Current Vermont LPN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program
* Minimum 1 year of experience with older adults (assisted living or long-term care preferred)
* Strong understanding of basic nursing principles and common medications
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
* Dedication to preserving residents’ dignity, independence, and individuality
* Current CPR certification and successful completion of background checks
* Please Note: Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Valley Village is unable to provide employee housing or assist with relocation expenses.
*Schedule*
Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position (40 hours/week)
*Hours:* Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
