We are working with a leading multi-strategy systematic hedge fund that is seeking an exceptional Data Scientist to join their Data Search & Analytics team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the Research and Trading desks to enhance productivity and efficiency, directly supporting high-quality investment returns. In this role, you will: Source and Onboard New Datasets : Identify, design, and integrate new datasets according to trading desks' priorities. Master Internal Tools : Become an expert on the fund's internal tools to assist relevant desks in using data effectively in trading systems. Solve Data-Related Problems : Proactively address data issues to minimize time to production. Manage Data Projects : Oversee the full lifecycle of data sourcing projects, including data acquisition, exploration, engineering, prototyping, and production. The ideal candidate will have: Advanced Programming Skills : Proficiency in Python, with additional experience in C/C++ or C# being a plus. Relevant Experience : Over 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analyst, or Scientist. Educational Background : A post-graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. Autonomy and Collaboration : Ability to work independently within a global team of researchers and data engineers. Financial Data Expertise : Experience with Bloomberg or Reuters data ecosystems.
