Job Summary:
Our busy logistics hub in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage the inbound flow of goods. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments, ensuring that inventory levels are precisely maintained. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and requires a methodical approach to tasks. A commitment to accuracy and Safety is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming freight using appropriate equipment and manual methods.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
  • Inspect shipments for damage and discrepancies, documenting any issues encountered.
  • Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Tag and label incoming inventory according to established procedures.
  • Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to Safety and inventory control.
  • Wear and utilize all required PPE , including safety footwear and high-visibility vests.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using scanning devices and data entry.
  • Familiarity with WMS software.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of basic Logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations.
