Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify shipment contents against order details for accuracy.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
- Ensure all packages are properly packed and labeled according to carrier regulations.
- Operate shipping software and equipment efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Troubleshoot any shipping-related discrepancies or problems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their requirements.
- Ability to perform some lifting, typically up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety procedures.
