We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Associate to join our fast-paced warehouse in San Jose, California. As a vital member of our logistics team, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and accuracy. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are handled with care and that customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. A good understanding of warehouse procedures and a willingness to learn are essential. We prioritize a safe and productive work environment, and all team members are expected to contribute positively to it. Your role is integral to the smooth functioning of our distribution network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and quality.
- Stock and organize merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to order slips.
- Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as needed (certification may be required for powered equipment).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, especially concerning lifting and material handling to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning is a plus.
- Understanding of inventory control principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to undergo training on specific equipment and safety procedures.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and procedures at all times.
