Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator? Our Richmond, Virginia logistics facility is looking for a skilled professional to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and support various warehouse operations. Your expertise is crucial for maintaining workflow, ensuring product integrity, and upholding our high standards for safety and productivity. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and warehouse storage areas.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Safely transport materials to and from designated locations within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse procedures for efficient material handling.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety vests, steel-toed boots, and eye protection.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA certification).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safe operation practices and proper lifting techniques.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
