Are you a meticulous individual with a passion for accuracy? Our San Francisco logistics hub is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This critical role ensures the integrity and accuracy of our warehouse inventory, supporting seamless operations and preventing stock discrepancies. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed records, conducting regular cycle counts, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce losses. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently, meeting the demands of our diverse customer base. We foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and this position is key to achieving those goals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and recommend actions.
- Process incoming and outgoing inventory adjustments accurately.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock rotation, and other key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and management to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency within the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including following safety guidelines and wearing necessary PPE.
