You will be responsible for locating specific items within the warehouse, carefully picking them according to order lists, and then packing them securely and efficiently. Precision and speed are key attributes for success in this fast-paced environment. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to meet daily targets. We provide necessary PPE and emphasize safety in all our operations. This is an excellent entry-level position within the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory locations based on order tickets.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to packages.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory and update order status.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and safety practices is a plus.
