About
We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our busy logistics hub in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving, unloading, stocking, and distributing raw materials and finished goods. You'll operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure smooth operations. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, as you'll be working around heavy machinery and large quantities of product. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to work in a dynamic environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for maintaining the condition of equipment, ensuring proper storage of goods, and assisting with inventory management. We value teamwork and expect our Material Handlers to contribute to a positive and productive work culture. Experience with inventory systems and a valid forklift certification are highly desirable. You must be comfortable with consistent lifting up to 60 lbs and understand the importance of using appropriate PPE. This role is key to our supply chain efficiency, and we seek individuals who are reliable and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from production or shipping areas.
- Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Follow instructions for proper material handling and storage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, and bend for extended periods.
