Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Inventory Control Specialist in Durham, North Carolina. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring seamless logistics operations. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, resolving discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize stock management. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be key to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to guarantee data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
  • Maintain precise inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels, analyze trends, and report on inventory status, including potential shortages or excesses.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce effective inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and handling of all inventory to minimize loss and damage.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to address inventory-related issues efficiently.
  • Oversee the accuracy of inventory data during receiving and put-away processes.
  • Ensure adherence to all company Safety policies and the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory accuracy and overall logistics efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven track record in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and strong data analysis skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations and manage data effectively.
  • Experience with Lifting and moving inventory items is necessary.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute positively to a team environment.
