Job Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented professional looking for a challenging role? We have an opening for an Inventory Control Specialist in Richmond, Virginia. This position is vital for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficient management of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing robust inventory control procedures, conducting audits, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels to support our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform cycle counts and full physical inventories to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and report on inventory status, including potential shortages or excess stock.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure optimal organization, storage, and condition of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and logistics teams to address inventory-related challenges.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to guarantee accurate initial inventory data.
  • Uphold stringent Safety standards and ensure the correct usage of all required PPE.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and enhance overall logistics efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using WMS software and other inventory management technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in performing accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with the Lifting and handling of inventory items is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and best practices.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
