Become a key player in our operations as a Picker/Packer in Washington, D.C. This role is critical for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. You will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment, as well as packaging them securely. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy.
- Package items carefully to ensure they are protected during transit.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall warehouse organization.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to Safety.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment, or similar role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
