About
Our San Jose, California location is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. This role is critical for ensuring that all outgoing orders are accurately prepared, processed, and dispatched. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, verifying order details, and preparing shipping documentation. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests and packing lists.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
- Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy and damage before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the system accordingly.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding order status and shipping inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Understanding of shipping logistics and carrier requirements.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
