Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Store merchandise in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation and organization.
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders using scanners or pick lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Prepare shipments for outbound transportation, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and proficiently (certification may be required for some equipment).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and stoop for extended periods, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding and strict adherence to safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Proficiency with scanning technology and basic computer skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, as needed.
