We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our thriving logistics center in Houston, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through regular audits, cycle counts, and system updates. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of warehouse management are essential to optimizing our stock levels and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures to minimize losses and errors.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status and movement.
- Ensure proper organization and placement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure correct handling and storage of goods.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- This role may involve occasional Lifting of inventory items.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all protocols.
- Basic knowledge of manual Handling and occasional Lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
