About
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse. Your ability to maneuver safely and efficiently is key to maintaining our operational flow and ensuring timely order fulfillment. A strong emphasis on workplace Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE . This position requires a certified forklift operator with experience in a fast-paced Logistics environment. While forklift operation is the primary focus, you may also be required to assist with other warehouse duties, which could involve moderate Lifting . We are looking for a reliable individual with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory control and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse and Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of forklift operating procedures and warehouse Safety .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE at all times.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
