Job Summary:
Our established logistics facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of our warehouse inventory. The Inventory Control Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing losses, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies. Your expertise is key to optimizing our warehouse operations and supporting our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
  • Manage the receipt and put-away of goods, ensuring accurate system entry.
  • Oversee the accuracy of outgoing shipments by verifying picked items.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth inventory flow and efficient logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, especially during tasks involving Lifting.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare reports.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 45 lbs).
  • Good understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and using PPE.
