About
Our busy logistics center in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. This role requires proficiency in operating forklifts, including but not limited to, counterbalance, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and staging materials for outbound shipments. Maintaining equipment through pre-operation checks and reporting any issues promptly is crucial. We maintain a strong commitment to safety, and all operators must strictly follow safety procedures and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE). The ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, may be necessary. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and related equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly wear and utilize required PPE at all times.
- Support overall logistics operations and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to wear required PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
