About
Our Dallas, Texas facility is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments and maintain inventory accuracy. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for unloading, inspecting, and documenting all incoming goods, ensuring they match purchase orders and are free from damage. This role is vital to our supply chain operations and requires meticulous attention to detail. You will be the first point of contact for many deliveries and play a key role in the overall efficiency of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects upon arrival.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received goods for proper storage.
- Report any receiving discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Assist with inventory control tasks and cycle counts as directed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a receiving or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management software.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with PPE requirements in a warehouse setting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
- Good communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
