Job Summary:
Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Columbus, Ohio, and play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing inventory. You will be responsible for executing inventory control procedures, conducting thorough cycle counts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies, and meticulously updating our Warehouse Management System (WMS). Collaboration with receiving, shipping, and operational teams is key to ensuring seamless workflow and product availability. We are looking for individuals with a solid grasp of inventory management best practices, strong analytical capabilities, and an unwavering commitment to safety in the workplace. Your contributions will directly impact our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role requires an individual who can work both independently and collaboratively, always prioritizing adherence to safety guidelines and proper use of PPE. The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives is essential. You will be tasked with identifying and mitigating risks associated with inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintain and update inventory data in the WMS accurately.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control measures.
  • Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock rotation and prevent stockouts.
  • Identify and report defective or expired inventory items.
  • Support the enhancement of inventory management processes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
  • Provide inventory support to other warehouse departments.
  • Analyze inventory performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Familiarity with WMS software and standard office applications.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-keeping skills.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain operations.
  • Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts may be necessary.
