We are seeking certified and experienced Forklift Operators for our modern distribution facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will operate forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory placement. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, excellent mechanical aptitude, and a dedication to operational excellence. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment. Your role directly impacts the efficiency of our inbound and outbound logistics. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, order picker) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers, ensuring product integrity and safety.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from designated areas.
- Accurately place inventory into racking systems and organize warehouse space.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure strict adherence to all PPE requirements and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong spatial reasoning and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role and in varying temperatures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics processes and inventory management.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of all required PPE.
