We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely preparation of all outgoing shipments. Your duties will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages meet company and carrier standards. This position is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our products reach our customers efficiently and in excellent condition. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, manifests, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and proper packaging.
- Ensure that all packages comply with company and carrier regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all outgoing shipments.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Operate shipping equipment and systems as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with receiving and inventory tasks as needed to support the logistics team.
- Wear appropriate PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role is required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, when necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and logistics principles.
