About
We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art facility in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. You will work closely with the logistics team to ensure a smooth flow of goods and maintain inventory accuracy. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment are essential. This position is critical to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our production and distribution efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment orders.
- Load outgoing shipments, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, typically up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts if required.
