About
We are looking for a reliable and organized Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing all goods. Your responsibilities will include unloading incoming trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items. You will also be responsible for staging received products for put-away and maintaining a clean and orderly receiving area. Excellent attention to detail is essential to prevent discrepancies and ensure that our inventory system accurately reflects incoming stock. This role is a cornerstone of our supply chain and Logistics operations. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all team members must adhere to strict Safety protocols, including the appropriate use of PPE . This position may involve moderate Lifting and requires the ability to stand for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks efficiently and safely.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming shipments for damage and report any issues promptly.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory system.
- Prepare received goods for put-away by staging them in the designated area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE .
- Support the Logistics team with accurate receiving data.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
